Sex & Spirit: Tools for Conscious Relationship (Edmonton, AB)

In a culture caught between hypersexuality and conservative values, between porn addiction and sexual shame, between women finding their voice and men simultaneously questioning theirs, it feels like something has been lost: our humanity.
We were built to relate, create and explore.
Amidst the complexities of daily life, relationships can either be a place where we tune out and watch Netflix or a place where we stand in, tread the vulnerabilities of being human and dance in the cosmic unknown.
Every relationship has areas where our deepest hurts and vulnerabilities surface. These core hurts may manifest as dissociation, staying busy, compulsive porn use, avoidance of intimacy or an inability to express our desires.
And every relationship gives us two choices: either give up and continue believing you’re broken or use it as an opportunity for healing, transcendence and deeper relating.
Conscious relationships are an invitation to create a solid foundation for learning and growth with others. They beckon us to explore the high, the lows, the pleasures and the joys of being human. And they call us to bring the sacred unknown back into our sexual expression.

This 90-minute workshop introduces the foundational tools needed for cultivating a meaningful relationship that’s grounded in love, communication and exploration.
Learn basic techniques for staying grounded, communicating desires and boundaries and allowing yourself to give and receive.
This is a space where all genders, orientations, bodies and relationship dynamics are welcome.

Meet Ava
Ava is passionate about exploring the cosmic unknown of sex and relationships with tools grounded in somatics, meditation and shadow integration.
Studying under renown Dharma Teachers Doug Qapel Duncan and Catherine Pawasarat Sensei, Ava offers individual and group sessions from her home at Clear Sky Meditation Center.
